Emily and Michael were married the first weekend in
October with a romantic sunset wedding ceremony.
Emily loves flowers, so her wedding featured lots
of bright flowers to complement the plum
bridesmaid's dresses. Her bouquets had
cranberry and yellow Gerber daisies mixed with
hydrangeas and plum filler.
Emily's arbor was topped with ferns and stuffed
with Gerber daisies. Four large live topiaries
with gorgeous balls of greenery and flowers marked
each end of the aisle. Each topiary trunk
was wrapped with Wisteria. Bouquets of
flowers tied with cranberry ribbon hung along the
aisle. The Hitching Post designers created and
set-up all of Emily's decor.
For their reception, Emily and Michael chose a
square four-tier cake covered in chocolate icing
and decorated with lavender trim. The
dining tent next to the dance floor was decorated
with plum and yellow paper lanterns. The
table centerpieces were tin buckets on plum
napkins filled with the same flowers that marked
the aisle. Emily's party favors included
little magnets in a box with earth friendly
messages and scented candles in a personalized
tin.
The highlight of the evening was Michael's reading
of his love poem to Emily. It brought tears
to everyone's eyes!
