At the 1812 Hitching Post, you are welcome to have your
ceremony anywhere on our 26 acres that you'd like. Some
couples choose to be married lakeside or on the Carriage House
lawn. Our inside locations include our Chapel and our
Wisteria room.
Most
couples decide to be married under the giant 300 year old
partner oak trees on the side yard of the 1812 Hitching
Post. The huge trees allow for shade all day.
Light breezes and easy access to the house add to the comfort
of your guests. The wedding party enters by walking out
the front door, down the brick walkway between the boxwood
bushes, and then across the lawn between the chairs to the
arbor.
Below
are arbor and aisle decorations for a variety of weddings held
at the 1812 Hitching Post. We have two arbor shapes; a
white arch top arbor and a natural wood arbor. We often
use palm trees, ferns, mums, and can use rented or provided
arbors to achieve the look you desire.
Every wedding is different; we encourage you to express
yourself!
