This site:
http://www.ourweddingsongs.com/ has a large selection of
popular music choices for weddings. Feel free to choose
any music you'd like; we want you to like every song played at
your wedding!
Prior to
Ceremony –
We’ll play at least ½ hour of music prior to the beginning of your
ceremony while your guests arrive. You may choose specific
songs or we’ll choose music to coordinate with your ceremony
music. We call these music choices your "prelude" music.
You may choose this music or we'll use our standard prelude
music which is a mix of classical and contemporary light sounds
that fit well with an outdoor wedding.
Mother’s seating
Formal weddings may
choose to have a song played while special guests such parents,
step-parents, and grandparents of the couple are seated.
You may choose any music. Often chosen songs are "Mama's
Song" by Carrie Underwood, "Ava Maria," "Ode to Joy," "The
Theme from Thornbirds," "Spring," and "Air."
Groomsmen entry and/or Bridesmaid’s Prelude
Ceremonies with two
or more bridesmaids (including maid of honor) or those that have
the groomsmen enter formally usually have a song during which
the bridal party walks down the aisle. Sometimes, one
longer song is chosen for both the mother's seating and the
wedding party entrance.
Below are samples of songs chosen for Mother's seating and
bridesmaid's entrance:
Bride’s Prelude
The bride typically has her own song to walk down the aisle.
She may choose one of the above songs, a contemporary song,
other classical music, or the traditional "Here Comes the
Bride." Examples:
