Wintertime is special at the 1812 Hitching Post. What better
place to start your lives together with a winter wedding in a large
but cozy historic plantation home?
At the 1812 Hitching Post, your dressing rooms, the Chapel, and the
reception area are all under the same roof so you don't have to
worry about weather issues. We'll light the fireplaces and use
lots of candles for ambiance. The white wrought iron fence
surrounding the dance floor is covered with 3,000 twinkle
lights. It's often warm enough in North Carolina to have
outdoor photos in the winter. Our camellias are in bloom and
we have many evergreen trees and bushes including our massive
magnolia.
Below are photos and pages from the storybook weddings of some of
our winter brides.
