  This wedding package contains the best of everything available at the 1812 Hitching Post for the ultimate wedding ceremony and reception experience.  Below is a description of all that can be included.  Click here for a timetable/ typical order of events.

With the platinum package, Wendy will work with you to design and execute every component of your wedding so no detail is overlooked.   We have checklists and information to help make your day go smoothly.  You deal only with Wendy; no need to hassle and coordinate vendors.   You may mail or email any ideas for us to follow for your decor, cake, and bouquets.  

Full designer consultation services are included for a customized ceremony and reception decor.  You'll have a wedding like none other!

For the very best in studio portraiture, we're pleased to partner withMilt Hawes Studios. Included with the Platinum package are a studio portrait sitting and $295 value portrait package.

You may also choose to have a custom pencil drawing done by artist, Geoffrey Waldron, either before your wedding or afterward from a favorite photo. 

Rehearsal

Your rehearsal is included with optional  photographic and video coverage.  We schedule your rehearsal at your convenience.  If we're providing your officiant and music, they will be present at your rehearsal.   Wendy will walk everyone through their placements and responsibilities of the upcoming wedding.  Rehearsal dinners are available.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the 2nd floor for the bride and her wedding party to use for dressing before the wedding.   The massive bridal suite spans the front of the house and has a full balcony.  We have steamers, irons, pins, scissors, and more so you can look your best.  You'll be served drinks while you wait and there is a smoking area if needed.  We encourage you to allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours before the wedding for dressing and plenty of time for photos.  

The groom and groomsmen have their own dressing area on the first floor with bathroom.  The rest of the first floor is open as your guests arrive and mingle to your pre-chosen prelude music.   Gifts can be left in the reception area and  beverages are served to arriving guests, if you wish.  

Your family and friends will want to greet you both while we get plenty of photo and video coverage.  

The ceremony

This is the moment about which your event pivots.  We take your ceremony and commitment to each other very seriously and will help you plan a ceremony with decor that suits your family style.  

Grandmothers and mothers are seated. Candles, if used, are lit.  After the groom is at the alter, the bride will descend the stairs and go out the front door and down the aisle for an outdoor ceremony under the shade of the massive oak trees (Ceremony site may vary upon preference).  Everyone stands as you make the turn onto the lawn.  You'll say your vows, exchange rings, and share your first married kiss surrounded by nature and those you love.

After your ceremony, you two will promenade up the brick walkway.  We gather you, your wedding party, and all your guests on the front lawn for a photo from the balcony above.  It's a great shot  of everyone at your wedding.  You'll have a receiving line followed by formal photos.  Your guests make themselves at home in the reception area while hors d'oeuvres are passed and the beverage/bar area is fully opened.  We follow formal photos with your announcement to the reception area.

Dancing

You walk in to the DJ's announcement and have your first dance.  The two of you will then lead off your buffet.  After you've had a bite, you can continue to visit with your guests or have additional photos of just the two of you while everyone else is busy eating.  We follow that with your father/daughter dance and other formal dances and then cut the cake and have toasts.  You'll then have open dancing followed by your bouquet toss and garter throw.  Most couples leave to a send-off of bubbles or sparklers.

Our platinum package is available for up to 200 guests.  

Your package includes all of the following:

  • Unlimited time on your wedding day - no other wedding will be scheduled that day
  • Bride's suite of three dressing rooms before event with adjoining private bathrooms – use of steamer, iron, etc. if needed  
  • Groom's room for Groom and Groomsmen with adjoining private bath
  • Ceremony with flowered arbor and set-up and use of any decor we own on your behalf (silk flowers, live greenery or garden flowers, tulle, lights, bows, shepherd's hooks, candles, etc.) 
  • Ceremony seating
  • Interdenominational Christian Officiant, if desired
  • Microphone and amplified sound system for ceremony
  • Personalized ceremony music choices
  • Vows personalized as desired
  • Rehearsal evening before at mutually agreed upon time 
  • Any needed ceremony tables (such as unity candle stand, program table, etc.
  • Cake table with and all needed utensils
  • Cake cutting with use of our servers (or may bring your own) and cake serving
  • Box for anniversary tier of cake
  • Complete professional photography of ceremony and reception by Milt Hawes and Wendy Waldron

  • Custom designed leather bound flush mount photo album
  • Hard cover Mother's album
  • Set-up and use of dining tables with full-length off-white tablecloths and overlays (cream, lilac, pink, chocolate, red), if desired
  • Basic dining table centerpieces (created to coordinate with your wedding theme and colors)
  • Buffet set-up and clean-up; use of silver and crystal service
  • Full set-up and clean-up of your ceremony and reception with use of any decorations we own that you'd like us to use
  • Bubbles to blow toward couple when leaving
  • Party planning assistance – advice and assistance with all aspects of your wedding via emails, phone calls, and/or visits
  • Romantic outdoor lighting; tiki torches, twinkle lights, and coach lights
  • Outdoor tent or tents
  • Full videography coverage with two videographers - your ceremony audio included
  • Bridal flowers, aisle flowers, and other decor

In the Platinum package, we also include your custom decorated wedding cake, beverages (punch, tea, water, coffee), bartender, and grand buffet (click here for buffet options).

 Call or email for more information.  Platinum packages are custom quoted depending upon the specific services and products you choose for your wedding including live flowers.  The average price for the Platinum package with catering, beverages, bartender, DJ, Milt Hawes Studios photography service, full video services, tents, wedding cake, custom decor, and all wedding flowers needed is $14,000 for 130 guests.
