  This wedding package contains the best of everything available at the 1812 Hitching Post for the ultimate wedding ceremony and reception experience.  Below is a description of all that can be included.  Click here for a timetable/ typical order of events.

With the platinum package, Wendy, your wedding coordinator, will work with you to design and execute every component of your wedding so no detail is overlooked.   We have checklists and information to help make your day go smoothly.  You deal only with Wendy; no need to hassle and coordinate vendors.   You may mail or email any ideas for us to follow for your decor, cake, and bouquets. 

Full designer consultation services are included for a customized ceremony and reception decor.  You'll have a wedding like none other!

Engagement Photos

Engagement photos of the two of you may be taken on location at the 1812 Hitching Post.  Studio portraiture also available.  One hour on-site engagement photo sitting included.

Bridal Portrait

Studio or onsite bridal portrait sitting is included with a 16 x 20 portrait on canvas. 

You may also choose to have a custom pencil drawing done by artist, Geoffrey Waldron, either before your wedding or afterward from a favorite photo. 

Rehearsal

Your rehearsal time with minister, sound, and wedding direction is included with optional  photographic and video coverage.  We schedule your rehearsal at your convenience - typically the Friday evening before your wedding.    Your wedding coordinator will walk everyone through their placements and responsibilities of the upcoming wedding.  

Platinum wedding services  include microphone for the minister and any readers or musicians for your ceremony as well as full sound system and professional sound delivery. 

Rehearsal dinners at the 1812 Hitching Post are available for an additional charge.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the 2nd floor of the main house for the bride and her wedding party to use for dressing before the wedding.   The massive bridal suite spans the front of the house and has a full balcony.  We have a steamer, irons, pins, scissors, and everything you might need last minute so you can look your best including staff to assist you with any need.  You'll be served drinks while you wait and there is a smoking area, if needed.  We encourage you to allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours before the wedding for dressing and pre-ceremony photos.  

The groom and groomsmen have their own dressing area on the first floor with bathroom.  The rest of the first floor is open as your guests arrive and mingle to your pre-chosen prelude music.

This is the moment about which your event pivots.  We take your ceremony and commitment to each other very seriously and will help you plan a ceremony with meaning.  With the Platinum wedding package, premium decor options are included.  We encourage you to express your personal and family style.  

After the groom is at the alter, the bride will descend the stairs and go out the front door and down the aisle for an outdoor ceremony under the shade of the massive oak trees (Ceremony site may vary upon preference).  Everyone stands as you make the turn onto the lawn.  You'll say your vows, exchange rings, and share your first married kiss surrounded by nature and those whom you love.

After your ceremony, you two will promenade up the brick walkway.  We gather you, your wedding party, and all your guests on the front lawn for a photo from the balcony above.  It's a great shot  of everyone at your wedding.  You'll have a receiving line, if desired.  We take photos of your families, the wedding party, and the two of you before moving on to your reception.  Because everything is in one place, your guests are comfortable throughout the home and at the reception area while hors d'oeuvres are passed and the beverage/bar area is fully opened.

Dancing

You walk in to the DJ's announcement and have your first dance.  The two of you will then lead off your buffet.  After you've had a bite, you can continue to visit with your guests or have additional photos of just the two of you while everyone else is busy eating.  We follow that with your father/daughter dance and other formal dances and then cut the cake and have toasts.  You'll then have open dancing followed by your bouquet toss and garter throw.  Most couples leave to a send-off of bubbles or sparklers.

Our platinum package is available for up to 200 guests for ceremonies and up to 250 for receptions.  

Our Platinum package includes all of the following:

  • Unlimited access on your wedding day - no other wedding held on the property that day!
  • Up to five hours of dedicated service time with full staff/photography/DJ coverage
  • Fully staffed rehearsal
  • You may choose any time you wish to walk down the aisle
  • Bride's suite of three dressing rooms before event with adjoining private bathrooms – use of steamer, iron, etc. if needed  
  • Groom's room for Groom and Groomsmen with adjoining private bath
  • Ceremony at your choice of location anywhere on 26 acres including under the oaks on the side lawn with arbor set-up and use of any decor we own on your behalf (silk flowers, live greenery or garden flowers, tulle, lights, bows, shepherd's hooks, candles, etc.) 
  • Ceremony seating 
  • Aisle decor
  • Ceremony direction
  • Complimentary services of Interdenominational  Minister, if desired
  • Microphone and amplified sound system for ceremony
  • Support for live musicians, if needed (microphone, sound board, rehearsal time, cables, etc.)
  • Personalized ceremony music choices
  • Vows personalized as desired
  • Any needed ceremony tables (such as unity candle stand, program table, etc.
  • Audio recording of vows for video

Reception Services

  • Custom Decorated wedding cake with pastry artist's sketch of cake before wedding
  • Cake table with and all needed utensils
  • Cake cutting with use of our servers (or may bring your own) and cake serving
  • Box for anniversary tier of cake
  • Set-up and use of dining tables with full-length ivory tablecloths
  • Set-up and use of pressed colored overlays - choose from dozens of colors
  • Linen napkins in your choice of color 
  • Custom dining table centerpieces (created to coordinate with your wedding theme and colors from our existing collection)
  • Platinum package catering to include:
    Hors d'oeuvres - mini pizzas, spinach dip, stuffed mushrooms, cheese and crackers
    Buffet dinner with
    Beef tenderloin carving station
    Delicious grilled bone-in chicken or grilled boneless chicken satay
    Homemade mashed potatoes 
    Green beans
    Fruit salad
    Vegetable tray with dip
    Rolls/garlic bread
    Mini cheesecakes or chocolate fountain with dipping items
  • Full set-up and clean-up of your ceremony and reception 
  • DJ/sound man & system for announcements and all provided music
  • Lighted dance area and night time lighting (twinkle lights, tiki torches, and candles)
  • Sparklers for send-off
  • Party planning assistance – advice and assistance with all aspects of your wedding via emails, phone calls, and/or visits
  • Coordination of bridal flowers, ceremony decorations, and reception decor
  • Beverage station with punch or lemonade, tea, water, and coffee
  • Bartenders, bar tent, and bar set-up including ice, glassware, etc.  Liability insurance coverage.  Couple provides alcohol  
  • Dining tents (depending upon number of guests)
  • Party lights & candles under tent
  • High staff to guest ratio - you'll be pampered!

  • Two photographers
  • Custom designed 20 page 10 x 10 hard cover storybook photo album
  • 20 mini albums to give as gifts and to keep in your purse for showing on the go 
  • All wedding photos on CD
  • Natural light bridal portrait shoot and/or engagement portrait session
  • All photos posted online for direct ordering for six months following wedding  
  • Full videography of ceremony and reception with two cameras.  Three copies of professionally edited DVD.  Includes ceremony vows, toasts, and your wedding music.

Our Platinum package is available anytime.

Our Platinum package includes a total of 5 1/2 hours of full staff services including photography and video.
