Your guests are welcomed into the Parlor or "red room" upon their arrival to the 1812 Hitching Post.  The Parlor is a favorite spot for romantic photography.  Weddings with fewer than 30 guests often gather in the Parlor for cake cutting and photos.

A comfortable yet elegant room done in red tones, the Parlor features a large bay window with beautiful custom deep red drapes which were custom milled locally for the homestead in the middle of the last century.

Artwork and furniture created by owner/designer, Patrick Waldron, accents the room along with historic collectables and decorative glass.  The grand old oak trees right outside the bay window adds to the drama and magical lighting of the room.  Large double mahogany doors lead to the dining room from the Parlor.
