Christina & Steven's Wedding

  My husband and I lead very busy lives. I’m a full time student and rarely have more than an hour to myself every day. When we set the big date, my biggest worry was that we’d never be able to plan everything in time. Because of our schedules, our forced procrastination left us about seven months before our marriage without a venue, catering, photography, and all of the other multitudinous details that are involved in planning a wedding. We were frantic. Every place we called was already booked or was beyond any hope of being within our budget.

As fate would have it, I was searching the web for North Carolina wedding venues, miserably trying to avoid moving back our wedding date another year, and that’s when I found them: The 1812 Hitching Post. I knew as soon as I read the information on their web page that it was the place for us. It was a beautifully simple and romantic setting, the packages offered were completely customizable to fit our desires and budget constraints, and the pictures of other weddings they had done were breathtaking. We made the call and were married in June!

I knew, when the night was over and we were driving to our honeymoon suite, that we had just experienced the perfect wedding for us. They took care of everything! Instead of stressing out, worrying that things were going to go wrong or that I’d forgotten something, I felt more like a queen who only had to give the word and it was done. Wendy really took care of us and all of the bridesmaids. We were even served drinks while we got ready and if someone forgot something, Wendy went hunting to find what was forgotten. She had a steamer for our dresses – really EVERYTHING was taken care of. Our guests were so impressed with their work that word has spread and some of our friends now plan to marry there. As far as planning for decorations, all I had to do was send Wendy pictures of what I’d like. Her creativity and style absolutely amazed me. They consult you on every detail and work with your ideas to make a wedding that is perfectly customized to fit you! Everything was very professionally done and the staff was so friendly. I can’t thank Wendy and everyone else enough who worked tirelessly during our wedding to make it the most wonderful experience of my life! I’d highly recommend The 1812 Hitching Post for anyone who wants to actually enjoy their own wedding, instead of stressing over everything. The staff will gladly take over your worries so let them pamper you! You will not find a more beautiful setting with a more caring staff.
