Typical Timetable/Order of Events for 
Gold and Platinum Weddings
 

1 1/2 to 2 hrs before wedding  Bride and bridesmaids arrive for dressing.  Drinks provided to arriving wedding party.
1 hr before Groom and groomsmen arrive; photography and video services begin.  
1/2 hr before Guests begin arriving - drinks are available.  Wedding party is dressed.   Groomsmen are pinned with boutonnières.  Ushers are ready to seat guests after photos.  Mothers, grandmothers, and other wedding party guests arrive and receive corsages.  
5 minutes before
ceremony
All guests are seated except for wedding party.  Groomsmen prepare for parent seating
The Wedding Groomsmen enter with minister
Bridesmaid prelude Bridesmaids walk down aisle (flower girls/ring bearers) – may be same song as bride if two bridesmaids or fewer
Bridal prelude Bride walks down aisle (accompanied by father or escort)
Ceremony - typically lasts 20 minutes to 1/2 hour  Welcome/giving of the bride/prayer/vows/rings/kiss
May also include unity candle, sand ceremony, readings, etc.
Recessional
Couples recede to receiving line area (generally on front lawn) 
Formal Photos
(formal photos typically last about 1/2 hour)
Group photo of everyone then formal photos of wedding party (guests to reception area – family and wedding party stay for photos)
Hors d'oeuvres Hors d'oeuvres and bar/beverage area are open for guests while formal photos are being taken.  Buffet may be open immediately after ceremony, if desired
Announcements Wedding party arrives at reception and are announced, if desired.   
Formal dances
(typically ends about 45 minutes after ceremony)
Couple has first dance followed by father/daughter and mother/son dances, if chosen.  Buffet is open after formal dances if not earlier
Buffet Couple visits buffet after formal dancing.  Staff will make plate for couple if requested.  While guests are eating, couple often has additional photos of just the two of them or photos greeting guests (table shots)
Cake/toasts
(typically 2 1/2 hours after end of ceremony)
After dinner buffet, gather for cake cutting and toasts
Garter/bouquet 
(about 1 hour before end of reception)
After cake and toasts, garter is removed and bouquet is tossed.  This may be done earlier if desired
Sunset Formals 
We take advantage of special lighting to get sunset photos of the couple together.  The most romantic photos of the two of you are often at this time.
Open Dancing Dance to your favorite tunes 
Last dance/
Send-off 
Couple has formal send-off with bubbles, sparklers, or petals.
