At the 1812, we have lots of ceremony location options!  Our 26 acres have shady lawns, sunny fields, quiet corrals, and tranquil lakeside settings. Most couples decide to be married under the giant oak trees on the side yard next to the main house.  Our biggest oak tree is the largest in the county and over 300 years old.  Huge trees allow for shade all day.  Light breezes and easy access to the house add …

Our outdoor patio area and tent seamlessly connect to the main house so your guests have access to the historic home and outside gardens. Amber & Jacob were married here at the 1812 Hitching Post on a lovely November evening. They chose a boho theme and provided decor that worked wonderfully with the fall colors. Stunning aisle boxes and the bridal bouquets all complimented their triangle arbor. The arbor was wonderfully decorated with peach and neutral florals, pampas, and dandelion reeds. Eric and Ashley West had a beautiful ceremony in our field on a perfect September evening under our wood arbor decorated with white florals and greenery. Afterward, they had a cocktail hour followed by a reception where their guests enjoyed music, BBQ, and donuts via food truck!
